By downloading, installing, or using Paycheck Compass ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and the developer of Paycheck Compass ("Developer," "we," "us," or "our").
Paycheck Compass is a personal budgeting tool designed to help users organise and plan income and expenses across pay periods. It does not provide financial, legal, tax, investment, or professional advice of any kind. Nothing within the App — including instructions, prompts, help text, AI-generated content, or suggestions — constitutes a recommendation regarding how to allocate, spend, or manage money.
The App is not connected to any bank, financial institution, or external account, and does not access, control, or move your funds.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this App.
All financial data you enter is stored exclusively on your device. No financial data entered into the App is transmitted to or collected by the Developer. No data is shared with any third party at any time.
You are solely responsible for backing up your data. The Developer has no ability to recover lost data.

The Developer implements no server-side security because no data leaves your device. You are solely responsible for enabling appropriate device-level security — screen lock, PIN, password, or biometric authentication. The Developer is not responsible for unauthorised access resulting from a lost, stolen, shared, or unsecured device.
Paycheck Compass is available through a paid subscription via Google Play. By subscribing:
Refund requests are governed exclusively by Google Play's refund policy. No refunds will be issued for partial subscription periods.
The App is a tool for organising information you provide. It does not consider your personal financial situation, connect to any bank, access or move your funds, or guarantee any financial outcome.
The App does not make recommendations about how you should allocate funds between categories or respond to financial situations, including emergencies. Any in-app tools or suggested starting points are provided solely as a convenience to help you begin entering your own figures — they are not advice, and all final decisions remain entirely your own.
Any figures, percentages, or category suggestions are illustrative only. You assume full responsibility for any outcomes resulting from the use of the App.
AI-generated content does not take into account your personal circumstances and must not be relied upon as a basis for financial decisions. AI-generated outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or not applicable to your personal circumstances. Nothing generated by AI within the App constitutes financial, legal, tax, or investment advice.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. Use of the App is entirely at your own risk.
The Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. In no event shall the Developer's total liability exceed the total amount you paid in the twelve (12) months preceding any claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Developer from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, any financial decisions made based on App information, or your violation of any applicable law.
All content, design, code, branding, and materials within Paycheck Compass — including the name "Paycheck Compass" and paycheckcompass.com — are the intellectual property of the Developer. All rights reserved.
A Financial Features Declaration has been completed in the Google Play Console. The App does not facilitate investment, lending, money transfer, or any regulated financial service.
We may update these Terms from time to time with reasonable notice. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App for conduct that violates these Terms. Your locally stored data is not affected upon termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy at paycheckcompass.com, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Developer regarding use of the App.
These Terms apply to Paycheck Compass Version 1.3 and later.
